I don't know how old some of you are, or what not... but I've grown up around video games and Resident Evil is one of my all time favorites. What they did to it in the movies is NOTHING SHORT OF A CRIME!!!!!

:( They butchered it!!

The second one was EVEN WORSE

and the third one... :( :( :( :(

For you older folks who maybe liked Spiderman... imagine if they made the new Spiderman movies where he didn't wear a costume -- it was his skin... where he really had 8 legs... where he didn't shoot webs, but venom.... his colors were hot pink and iridescent green, and he fought in South American jungles to save the rainforests...

Yes, the movies are RE in name only... video game-to-film movies are SOOOO BAD. I can't wait until my generation actually gets out of film school and starts making their own movies... they'll set these atrocities straight.

Bah, they stole that idea from The Cube...

Have you seen The Cube? It's an excellent movie... good psychological thriller.

Yeah, I really liked Cube, I heard there's a second one out, but I haven't seen it. I feel like ranting some more...

The RE movie is SOOO FUBAR it'd be like:

Me: "Hey guys, wanna watch Star Wars?"
Guys: "Yeah!!"
Me: -puts in The Fifth Element-

Yeah there's a second one and a third one even which is supposed to me some prequel. But don't worry you ain't missing much. They have nice imagery but the dialog and character depth which made The Cube so great is lacking.

The remake of RE 1 was scary...great game. Haven't played the others but i've heard they suck.. :D

The first Cube movie is pretty good. The second one is a major let down. Not worth your time. (Unless you're really bored)

Yeah, I concur they really butchered Resident Evil. In fact I thought Dawn of the Dead was more like the Resident Evil games than Resident Evil was. The games are great.
